POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Tohoku University 21st century COE program: "System Construction of Global-Network-Oriented Information Electronics" has founded a research and educational center for nano-technology (NT) and information communication technology (IT), led by Prof. Tatsuo Uchida as its leader/director. Distinguished professors from the Dept. of Electronic Engineering, the Dept. of Electrical and Communication Engineering, Research Institute of Electrical Communication (RIEC), and New Industry Creation Hatchery Center (NICHe) are participating in this program. The NT-IT research and educational center has three areas of research and development: (A) Basic Research and Analysis/Evaluation Technology, (B) Semiconductor, Magnetic, Optical and Display Devices, and (C) Computing and Transport Technology.
We look for 3 outstanding postdoctoral young researchers. The selected postdoctoral researchers will be expected to work under the supervision of the distinguished professors participating in this program. The initial term will start from anywhere between April 1 and June 1, 2006 and will end in March 2007. Prospective applicants are invited to email the following documents to "harada@ecei.tohoku.ac.jp": (a) Curriculum vitae, (b) List of publications, (c) List of professional awards, (d) List of other social activities, (e) The research field(s) chosen from (A)~(C) mentioned below, (f) Statement of the research interests, and (g) Preferred starting date. Only the documents written in English will be accepted. Those who want to use the postal mail should send the required materials by registered mail to the following postal address:
