2nd International Symposium on Bio- and Nano-Electronics

The 2nd International Symposium on Bio- and Nano-Electronics in Sendai is a sequel to the first symposium in March 2006, which was successfully held with 12 oral presentations (including 9 invited lectures), 60 posters and 126 attendees.

This symposium is a part of the education program "Tohoku University International Education Initiative for Bio- and Nano-Electronics" financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

purpose
This symposium intends to promote the exchange among researchers of bio- and nano-electronics and to encourage young people to join these emerging research fields.

scope
The scope of the symposium covers, but is not limited to

Nano Bioelectronics, Nano Biophysics, Biomagnetics, Bioinformatics, Biosensors, Medical Electronics, Nano Electronics and related areas.

language
The official language of the symposium is English.


This symposium is organized by the Department of Electronics, the Department of Electrical and Communication Engneering and the Department of Applied Physics of Tohoku University.

This symposium is co-sponsored by "Tohoku University 21st Century COE Program: System Construction of Global-Network-Oriented Information Electronics."
