Professor Shin-ichiro Umemura received Fry Award from International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU)
Professor Shin-ichiro Umemura at Graduated School of Biomedical Engineering, Tohoku University received The William and Francis Fry Honorary Fellowship Award from The international Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound on June 11 during The 10th International Symposium on Therapeutic Ultrasound 2010, held in Tokyo. This lifetime achievement award is given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to therapeutic ultrasound. Potential recipients of this award are nominated by the Organizing Committee of each annual ISTU symposium and ratified by the Board.
