Matsushima |

The conference will be held in Matsushima, just 20 km east of Sendai.
Matsushima is, famous for some 260 tiny islands (shima) covered in pines
(matsu) — hence the name -- and ranked as one of Japan's Three Great Views.

Access to Matsushima |

From Tokyo, take the Shinkansen bullet train to Sendai (1hr 40min), and
transfer Senseki Line to Matsushima-Kaigan Station (25min by express train,40min
by local train.) Total one way travel fare is 10,700 JPY from Tokyo to
Matsushima-Kaigan.
From Matsushima-Kaigan Station, there is Loop Line Bus (100 JPY) punctually
connected by Senseki Line on arrival, and the next bus stop is Hotel Matsushima
Taikanso (3-min). |
